| The primary purpose of the weekly net is to test the operational
readiness of the repeater network. It is important that all the
equipment in the network is kept in good operating condition at all
times because we never know from one minute to the next when it will
be needed to support a search or other emergency.
The net provides a means to share bulletins from Radio Amateurs of Canada (RAC), which is our national organization, and announcements of a regional and local nature. The net also provides an opportunity for Radio Amateurs to keep in contact with each other, build a good working relationship, and practice their skills as radio operators.
The Sunday morning 2-Meter net can be heard north to Fort St.John & Grande Prairie, south to 100 Mile House, west to Hazelton and East to Robson Park. Our club's net controller is Larry (VE7MK). Several others also help out when required.
